9/11

So much has been said. So much will be said. I think the best way to honor those affected by the terror attacks of 9/11 is to pray to your God in your church today.

Comments:
Agreed, but I will add that you don't need a church to remember and pray for the victims of that day.
I also think that we should be seeing images of the planes hitting the towers, the towers themselves falling and the devastation of that horrific day in our history plastered all over the visual airwaves. In this day and age, it is unfortunte that our memories are fleeting and 9/11 is an event that should emblazened in our pshyces for now and until the fight is won.
The media is so quick and damnedly determned to inundate us with images of Katrina and the debacle it was in the beginning of the rescue effort, because that will shine an unfavorable light on the administration.
However, when it comes to reminding Americans that we are still at war with an enemy that will stop at nothing to destroy us, the media will not offend the timid sensitivies of the American people by showing the most destructive and horrific attack on American soil by a foreign enemy in our history. Why? Because that would then remind America that there is only one way to defend ourselves and that is to bring the fight to the enemy. And the only people that are willing to do that are Republicans.
No, I don't think the administration has handled the events of the war on terror with flying colors, but had the democrats been at the helm, we would still be trying to "understand" why the enemy doesn't like us, not busy defending ourselves and avenging the deaths of so many innocent Americans.
So, yes, pray in your churches, your homes, wherever you see fit. Pray for the victims, for the men and women who are protecting us on a daily basis, and for the men and women who are fighting for our freedom and our way of life. Keep the fight in the enemy's territory and never forget 9/11.

CR,

See simple but true!

We will get those parasites one by one no matter how long it takes!!!

"O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead;

help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless...

We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen."

-Mark Twain (This is classic satire, for the humor-impaired)
